Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) incineration (aka \u201cwaste-to-energy\u201d) and plastics-to-fuel processes worsen the climate crisis and perpetuate natural resource extraction. To keep Colorado incineration-free, Eco-Cycle and partners are championing <a href=\"https:\/\/leg.colorado.gov\/bills\/sb24-150\">Senate Bill 24-150<\/a>, which initially aimed to ban waste incineration and plastics-to-fuel projects from coming to the state<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>APRIL 9, 2024 UPDATE: <\/strong>The governor and some senators opposed SB24-150 as drafted and removed the ban on pyrolysis.
